I'm a phoenix woman ...

• Is a sisterhood defined by a saving faith in Jesus Christ. (John 14:6)
• Knows the power of God's Transformation and works to be exactly what Jesus needs her to be. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
• Relies on the superiority of God's Plan and knows that she is commissioned by Jesus Christ to share His Good News. (Jeremiah 29:11)
• Experiences the magnitude of God's Blessings and feels the perfection of God's Peace. (Numbers 6:24-26)
• Determines to be a woman after God's Own Heart and face the future prepared and unafraid. (Isaiah 41:10)
• Holds tightly to God's Promise of strength in weakness and has determined to make her life a product of faith rather than coincidence. (2 Corinthians 12:9)
• Claims triumph and joy in her life through God's Faithfulness. (Philippians 4:13)

I'm a God's Girl ...

• Focused on making God smile through my words, thoughts, and deeds. (Numbers 6:24-26)
• Determined to empower women of all ages to help them trust that all things work together for good for those that love God and are called according to His purpose for them. (Romans 8:28)
• Helping every woman to find her essential place in God's Plan. (Jeremiah 29:11)

I'm a woman after God's own heart ...

In I Samuel 13:14 the Bible talks about God searching for someone who was 'after His own heart' and eventually found David. While I wouldn't claim to be as impressive as King David was (especially in his early years!) I do wish that if God is ever searching for a woman after His own heart, I might possibly be considered! I'm not perfect but I'm definitely read, willing, and able. What do you need done, Lord? Where can I use my time and talents?

Here I am, Lord! Send me! (Isaiah 6:8)

I'm blessed.

In addition to the above things, I'm also a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, aunt, uncle (don't ask), Bible study leader, teacher, author, speaker ... I live in Bridgewater, New Jersey with my husband of over 25 years and my four children. Writing stories is just about the best way I can imagine spending my free time. Each of my stories champions those emotions nearest and dearest to me: faith, joy, hope, love, and empowerment.

I've always dreamed of being a mom, a teacher and a writer (probably in that order, too). I spent thirteen glorious years teaching, 4th grade, 5th grade and gifted & talented classes before I shifted over to full time mom-hood. The writing's always been there, though. I wrote curriculum and published my first book (a how-to student workbook) while still teaching and even in the midst of the babies coming I wrote a book on traveling with children and wrote curriculum in my capacity as a children's minister. Writing contemporary and historical fiction was a logical progression ... after all I had plenty of stories in my head but it wasn't until I was forty-five years old that I discovered that everyone didn't have this wonderful gift.

I am truly blessed to be able to look back on my life and at each milestone see how God has guided me, blessed me, encouraged me, and (this one's important) corrected me when I wandered off a bit. If it's a good day, I'm writing. I average about two books a year, usually alternating between contemporary, historical, and nonfiction. The very best thing about writing is hearing from my readers and what they thought of my stories.
